Marcella’s fascination with fashion and the beauty industry started at a young age. Her experimental phases, experienced by both friends and family, became the foundation to her unique personal style. During this time of experimenting, she channeled her inner hair stylist, carving, cutting and shaping the hair of her brave participants, aka her sister and other willing participants.
Formal training was the next logical step in her personal development. Marcella attended Paul Mitchell Hair and Beauty School where she made a strong impression on industry leaders, such as DiPietro Todd Salons. There she continued her education for an additional two and a half years learning a variety of techniques, including Vidal Sassoon. Further professional development continued as she began to explore new opportunities. Marcella joined Barrow Salon, where she focused on techniques such as Bumble and Bumble razor cutting to add to her evolving repertoire. At this point, Marcella continued to build relationships with both industry folks and clients, reinforcing her unique sense of style, artistic direction, and cutting techniques. THEN
2020: After what seemed like a long pause for the world and the service/beauty industry, Marcella accepted a new opportunity at Pony Salon. There, she became an instructor, teaching advanced cutting techniques to other stylists. After spending some time there, she transitioned to her own studio space. Marcella describes her current style as mixed. She’s as inspired by big 80’s hair and mullets, as she is by long, effortless 70’s locks, or classic bobs. And she absolutely adores working with curly textures. Marcella knows hair is personal and makes it a goal to tailor the cut to the client for easy day to day maintenance and a killer grow-out!NOW
